PSA supports move to join World Federation Against Drugs

As the official supplier of Lifeloc Technologies’ products in South Africa, Precision Safety Appliances (PSA) is fully behind the company’s decision to join the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) as a member organisation.   WFAD is a multilateral community of non-governmental organisations and individuals working for a drug-free world.

“The abuse of drugs, both legal and illegal, ruins lives.  It has a terribly destructive effect on families, communities, on our roads and in the workplace.  So we support any initiative that aims to educate people on the dangers of drug abuse and works towards protecting children and young people from the dangers of addiction,” said Hank Lombard of PSA.

WFAD is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and held a forum this year in May.  It was “...the only one of its kind where NGOs, self-help groups, treatment centres, scholar, local, regional and national authorities, politicians and other decision-makers, the business community, and others from around the world...share ideas and experiences about the work against illicit drugs, based on a balanced and restrictive policy.”

PSA supplies the world-renown Lifeloc portable breath alcohol testers as well as the Noble Split-Specimen Cup system for drug testing, and provides training and back-up services on these reliable and easy to use methods of detection.  Their systems are widely used by law enforcement agencies and all sectors of industry and commerce in an effort to curb alcohol and drug abuse.
